You’ve been peeing on sticks, taking your temperatures, eating and exercising all to get pregnant and still nothing is working…
I was in your shoes. And so were all the clients I’ve worked with. And you might be surprised to learn this one key area could be the foundation you are missing.
Keep reading for my review of three popular brands of “circadian lights”.
Your circadian rhythm is your internal 24-hour clock that regulates hormone production, sleep, and metabolism. When your light exposure matches the sun’s natural patterns, your reproductive hormones thrive. You need your 24 hour hormones to be balanced before your “28-day” hormones can be balanced.
But artificial lighting, late-night screens, and indoor lifestyles disrupt this rhythm—causing hormonal imbalances, irregular ovulation, and fertility struggles.
The connection between light and fertility runs deep. Natural sunlight signals your brain to release serotonin and regulate melatonin, two key hormones that influence reproductive health.
👉 Too little morning light = lower serotonin and poor cycle regulation.
👉 Too much blue light at night = reduced melatonin, impacting egg quality.
Research shows that syncing light exposure to your circadian rhythm improves sleep, lowers cortisol, and supports balanced estrogen and progesterone.
Women who align their light exposure patterns often report:
Clients who take this to heart have also reported better blood sugar regulation, imprived thyroid hormones, more regular digestion and reduced bloating.
The possible improvements to health and fertility from light syncing are endless.

Start resetting your body’s internal clock with these steps:
Three brands of light bulbs that I have personally used and tested to help you make your home more fertility friendly.
Sunsy offers full spectrum light bulbs with zero flicker. With three different spectrum options, you can choose which rooms or lamps have the spectrum of lighting you prefer and turn them off when they are have more blue light than you want. These are great for desk lamps or single use lamps.
Pros – flicker free lighting, more red and full spectrum balance.
Cons – Each bulb only has one spectrum setting. So if you have to switch bulbs or use different lighting at different times of the day.
Bon Charge has three different light bulb options: Full spectrum, Low blue light, and Red light. All are flicker-free and have their spectrums displayed on the bon charge website for you to compare. They also offer plug-in night lights and reading lamps for evening circadian support.
I like their full spectrum light bulb for lamps that I use during the day and their red lights for night lights for my child while he sleeps.
Pros – the full spectrum light bulb as three different settings which you can change throughout the day to match the circadian friendly spectrum you desire at that time. For example during mid-day you can have the daylight setting on and in the evening you have have the zero blue light setting on.
Cons – every time you turn on your lamp you will cycle through the each light setting. For example, if you are turning your lamp on in the evening, you will have to click past full spectrum and low blue light before you get to the zero blue light setting. This can be less desirable if it is already evening and you don’t want that quick exposure to blue light.
I also found their lights to have more blue light, or be cooler in color, in general compared the last brand I will cover. The 4 bulbs I bought lasted about 9 months.

HealthyHome offers zero flicker, three-setting, circadian friendly lights. Beyond the standard light bulb they also offer circadian friendly lighting that fits with your recessed lighting options for your home. Which means that your overhead lighting can now be circadian friendly too!
Pros – three setting options, recessed lighting options, zero flicker. The lights automatically come back on at the setting you last used. So if you had them on the campfire setting before bed, when you turn your lights back on in the morning the first color you see is the campfire setting. These are also priced more competitively compared to Bon Charge.
Cons – no plug in night lights.
I found the Healthy Home lights to be generally warmer with more red at all settings compared to the Bon Charge three spectrum light bulbs.
Overall these are my favorite for their multiple applications, warmth and feel, and cost.
